MBAH CUNGKRUNG DAN BABAD RANDUKUNING: JEJAK SEJARAH PERGESERAN IDENTITAS AGAMIS MENJADI PUB-KULTUR DI PATI
This study attempts to describe the historical trace of the shifting community identity in the region of Pati, Central Java; from religious identity to pub-culture (karaoke culture). For the local community, the shifting is not new even the changes have become part of the new identity of the Pati community today. From tracking history based on folklore (oral tradition), from the story of Mbah Cungkrung; the first Islamic carrier and broadcaster in the famous Pati, and the Babad Randukuning; the story of the struggle of a dancer Tayub, Roro Kuning, who opened a community of Dance although initially opposed by the Duke at that time, showed that before the Tayub dance developed, the role of Mbah Cungkrung was great for Pati and surrounding areas. So, Pati called a religious city. But now, the religious identity began to shift toward pub-culture. Although the religious identity is not completely lost; characterized by the presence of many pesantrens in the region of Pati, but the growing identity of pub-culture in Pati today; seen with the increasingly widespread culture of Kethoprak and karaoke, is also not without traces of history. The story of Mbah Cungkrung and Babad Randukuning as its evidence.
